Submission Entry: | 1.) Given that buildings consume 40% of global energy, within which at least 40% is consumed by HVAC systems, how has the goal of 1.5 C additionally impacted your project opportunities? What specific products have you supplied or incorporated to support the 1.5 goal? (213)Answer: The building sector's electricity consumption in the U.A.E. has surged over the past fifty years, rising from 25% to 40% of total annual usage, largely due to significant improvements in building efficiency. Adeeb Group has developed numerous energy management strategies aimed at reducing residential energy consumption by 30%. They are targeting net-zero carbon emissions with plans to achieve a minimum of 50% reduction by 2025, a 52% reduction by 2030, and theoretical efficiency limits of 62%. The building management system (BMS) auto controllers align with the Department of Energy’s goals for emerging technologies, optimizing energy use based on theoretical efficiency limits. Further efficiency gains can be achieved through the addition of fresh air and extract air systems. Adeeb Group has successfully maintained room temperatures within ±24 degrees, adhering to ANSI/ASHRAE Standards 62.1 and 62.2. All controllers are fine-tuned to variable speed frequency to support the goal of limiting temperature rise 2.) Describe the bigger picture you see as an IoT service provider. How do socio-economic and sustainable development initiatives in the country, or countries, you are operating impact/influence you as a manufacturer, supplier or service-provider? (214)Answer: As an IoT service provider, we focus on advancements that prioritize environmental sustainability. For nearly 25 years, we have tackled some of the globe's most significant challenges by developing innovative methods and technologies to achieve what many deemed impossible. Throughout this journey, we have established a reputation for excellence and fostered a culture that emphasizes our core values: reducing carbon emissions, conserving energy, minimizing waste, and promoting sustainability. 3.) How has the global drive towards AI impacted your business in terms of sales cycles, conversion rates of prospects to contracts and improved profitability? (215)Answer: At Adeeb Group, we’re continuously rethinking the way buildings are managed –shifting traditional, tactical facilities management towards smarter, predictive facilities experience. We’re on a mission to help the built environment thrive towards continuous sustainability by empowering people, machines, and buildings to achieve high levels of efficiency. 4.) To what extent do you believe you have the scope to feel concerned about, and to contribute to, the socio-economic and sustainable development of the country, or countries, you are operating in? How frequently are you able to precisely meet the specific needs of consultants and of developers/builders (clients)? (216)Answer: Managing the vast and intricate nature of buildings requires the organization of all facility components, including energy, maintenance, assets, and security. It’s essential to have a central hub where you can monitor the performance of multiple, distributed facilities. This hub should provide insights into the health of costly assets and enable effective resource management. It must facilitate team collaboration, whether for quickly tracking maintenance schedules or thoroughly analyzing energy usage patterns. Furthermore, it should consolidate all this information in an organized manner, making it accessible to various stakeholders in real time. 5.) What steps have you taken to ensure cyber security, so that customers’ personal or business data are not compromised? (217)Answer: To safeguard our customers’ personal and business data, we follow these four key steps: 6.) As manufacturer, supplier or service-provider, what specific actions do you take in terms of handholding on installation and training on operation, plus ensuring availability of aftersales support? (218)Answer: Once a project has navigated its challenges and all the hard work on solution design, integration, and testing is complete, with quality assurance successfully verifying the results, it’s time to implement the product or project outcome in real-world settings. 7.) What pricing policy do you follow as a manufacturer, supplier or service-provider of IoT products or services? What are you doing to attract customers - innovative commercial contracts, project financing, etc.? (219)Answer: The Internet of Things (IoT) has become an integral part of daily life, impacting everything from homes to industries and enterprises. By connecting people and devices, IoT is enhancing the world in unprecedented ways. However, we are only scratching the surface of its potential. To fully harness the benefits of IoT, businesses must recognize the value creation opportunities while systematically tackling the challenges that come with it. 8.) What management strategies and guidelines have you established to counter payment delays and other such instances, which are affecting your cashflow as a manufacturer, supplier or service-provider, and are preventing an ideal building construction eco-system (involving all stakeholders) from forming? What creative strategies are you utilising to circumvent/overcome cash flow challenges? (220)Answer: Determining the Cash Flow Cycle The cash flow cycle involves assessing the duration it takes for a business to convert its daily activities into cash. This includes the time required to purchase parts or supplies, produce or manufacture goods, and sell those products to receive payment for services rendered. A shorter cash flow cycle means that the business retains more cash on hand to cover expenses and payables, allowing the cycle to repeat efficiently. Frequent cash flow cycles indicate greater operational efficiency, as the business can quickly realize returns on its activities. Increasing Cash Generated Per Cycle The cash generated from sales is crucial for maintaining positive cash flow in each business cycle. To enhance the cash flow per cycle, consider strategies such as increasing sales volume, improving profit margins, or cutting costs in each cycle. Additionally, aim to expedite the process to achieve more cash flow cycles over year 9.) What do you envisage the future of IoT to be? What futuristic scenario are you working towards the supply of IoT devices and software? Are you providing completely cloud-based solutions on a recurring revenue model or on-premises installation of software for a one-time fee? (221)Answer: In today’s landscape, we can design tailored customer experiences through connected device ecosystems found in various environments, including homes, vehicles, assisted living facilities, and manufacturing plants. However, as customer demands evolve, businesses and their engineers must innovate while building trust, especially since connected devices raise numerous privacy concerns. |
