1.) Given that buildings consume 40% of global energy, within which at least 40% is consumed by HVAC systems, how has the goal of 1.5 C additionally impacted your project opportunities? What specific products have you supplied or incorporated to support the 1.5 goal? (213)

Answer: FortyGuard’s TemperatureOS integrates AI and ML technologies to monitor and manage urban heat in real time. By collecting billions of temperature data points from urban environments, we provide precise analytics that help cities and enterprises optimize energy use, improve cooling systems, and reduce carbon emissions. Our technology supports the 1.5°C goal by enabling predictive interventions and improving urban heat resilience.

Our platform delivers accurate, hyper-local temperature data, allowing cities and building managers to make data-driven decisions for improved energy efficiency. By integrating these insights into existing systems, we help achieve sustainability goals, reduce energy consumption, and lower overall emissions.

2.) Describe the bigger picture you see as an IoT service provider. How do socio-economic and sustainable development initiatives in the country, or countries, you are operating impact/influence you as a manufacturer, supplier or service-provider? (214)

Answer: As a software service provider focused on urban heat management, FortyGuard sees the bigger picture in aligning with socio-economic and sustainable development initiatives. Operating in a region like the Middle East, where urbanization and climate challenges intersect, we recognize the critical role our solutions play in fostering sustainable development.

Our TemperatureOS aligns with national goals of reducing carbon footprints, enhancing energy efficiency, and improving overall climate resilience. By providing real-time data and predictive analytics, we support initiatives such as the UAE’s net-zero targets and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. These socio-economic initiatives, which prioritize sustainability and technological advancement, directly influence our product development and service offerings.

FortyGuard’s platform enables cities and organizations to mitigate urban heat through data-driven decision-making, reducing energy consumption, improving public health, and enhancing urban living. This proactive approach supports both environmental and socio-economic sustainability, contributing to the broader development goals of the region.

3.) How has the global drive towards AI impacted your business in terms of sales cycles, conversion rates of prospects to contracts and improved profitability? (215)

Answer: With the increasing demand for AI-driven solutions, we have not seen shorter sales cycles as clients seek out advanced, data-driven methods for urban heat management.

The use of AI in our TemperatureOS platform allows us to deliver granular, hyper-local insights and predictive analytics at a lower operational cost. This, in turn, enhances client satisfaction and retention while expanding our market reach. The AI integration into our solutions also aligns with global trends toward smart cities and sustainable development, which supports faster adoption and contract conversions in the urban planning and climate tech sectors.

4.) To what extent do you believe you have the scope to feel concerned about, and to contribute to, the socio-economic and sustainable development of the country, or countries, you are operating in? How frequently are you able to precisely meet the specific needs of consultants and of developers/builders (clients)? (216)

Answer: As climate change continues to impact urban areas, our AI-driven temperature intelligence solutions help cities mitigate the effects of urban heat, reducing energy consumption, improving public health, and enhancing livability. This directly contributes to the economic and environmental resilience of communities.

Our TemperatureOS platform provides tailored, actionable insights for urban planning and infrastructure projects, meeting the specific demands of our clients. Our ability to offer hyper-local data with high accuracy allows us to address the evolving needs of both private and public sector stakeholders, ensuring that we consistently deliver value and align with broader sustainable development goals.

5.) What steps have you taken to ensure cyber security, so that customers’ personal or business data are not compromised? (217)

Answer: At FortyGuard, we take cybersecurity seriously and have implemented multiple measures to ensure that our customers’ personal and business data is protected. Our platform utilizes end-to-end encryption for data transmission, ensuring that all information shared between users and our system is safeguarded from unauthorized access. We employ multi-factor authentication (MFA) for accessing sensitive data and ensure that only authorized personnel can make changes to critical systems.

By partnering with trusted cloud providers and embedding advanced security protocols, we maintain a strong defense against cyber threats, protecting the integrity and privacy of our clients’ data.

We are also committed to continuous staff training to ensure cybersecurity awareness, ensuring that every team member understands the importance of protecting our customers’ data.

6.) As manufacturer, supplier or service-provider, what specific actions do you take in terms of handholding on installation and training on operation, plus ensuring availability of aftersales support? (218)

Answer: We ensure that our clients receive comprehensive support throughout the entire lifecycle of our solutions. While we are not involved in physical installation, we provide detailed onboarding and training on our software platform, ensuring that city planners, engineers, and facility managers fully understand how to use our AI-powered TemperatureOS and analytics dashboards.

Our team ensures that clients can reach us for troubleshooting, updates, and any necessary feature enhancements. Furthermore, we offer detailed user documentation, video tutorials, and direct access to our support team via email providing timely assistance when needed.

This way, FortyGuard ensures that clients are not only equipped with cutting-edge urban heat mitigation tools but also receive the full operational support required to maximize the effectiveness of our solutions.

7.) What pricing policy do you follow as a manufacturer, supplier or service-provider of IoT products or services? What are you doing to attract customers - innovative commercial contracts, project financing, etc.? (219)

Answer: Our core model includes a subscription-based SaaS structure for our AI-powered TemperatureOS platform. This offers clients a variety of tiers, ranging from basic to premium services, depending on the scale of data access, analytics depth, and real-time insights required.

To attract customers, we offer innovative commercial terms such as a freemium model, allowing city planners, real estate managers, and engineers to test our platform with limited features before committing to a full subscription. We also work with clients to provide customized pricing for large-scale projects or long-term contracts, offering discounts based on volume or extended service commitments.

8.) What management strategies and guidelines have you established to counter payment delays and other such instances, which are affecting your cashflow as a manufacturer, supplier or service-provider, and are preventing an ideal building construction eco-system (involving all stakeholders) from forming? What creative strategies are you utilising to circumvent/overcome cash flow challenges? (220)

Answer: We have implemented several management strategies to counter payment delays and ensure consistent cash flow, critical for sustaining our operations.

Our primary approach is establishing clear payment terms in our contracts, including milestone-based payments and upfront deposits for larger projects. This ensures that we receive partial payments as work progresses, reducing the risk of non-payment at project completion.

To mitigate the risk of delays, we also maintain close communication with clients to address any payment concerns early on. We offer flexible payment schedules when necessary, while ensuring that any delays are addressed through structured late-payment fees or penalties. For long-term clients, we maintain good relationships, which helps us work through any unforeseen issues collaboratively.

9.) What do you envisage the future of IoT to be? What futuristic scenario are you working towards the supply of IoT devices and software? Are you providing completely cloud-based solutions on a recurring revenue model or on-premises installation of software for a one-time fee? (221)

Answer: We are actively working toward building cloud-based solutions that leverage AI and ML to collect, analyze, and visualize urban temperature data in real time.

This allows urban planners, engineers, and city managers to visualize temperature variations in 3D, analyze multiple variables such as infrastructure, climate patterns, and energy use, and design solutions to mitigate urban heat more effectively.

With our future Urban temperature digital twin product, decision-makers can anticipate how different strategies will impact urban heat and design solutions to maximize cooling efficiency before implementing them in real life. This reduces costs, enhances public health, and improves the overall quality of life in cities, contributing to long-term sustainability goals.
